Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
